Connestee Falls Park

Near our campground in North Carolina we spotted a sign for Connestee Falls.  I'll warn you that finding much about this location online is difficult.  The best I've found is a mention on a Western North Carolina waterfalls webpage.

Connestee Falls has several parts. The top portion features a wide free-fall and nearly vertical cascade, with a smaller series of splashing cascades below it. The bottom portion comes together with Batson Creek Falls, which is on a side stream, and then drops into a narrow rock crevice known as the "Silver Slip" and out of sight.

The falls can be very photogenic, but since the new county park was created, you can't get to the best vantage point for shooting, which is the exposed rocks at the middle of the falls.

When you pull up the "park" isn't much to look at with a parking lot and a disused building next to it (a former computer repair place I think)
There is a nice new, paved walkway just off the parking lot.  As I recall it was fully handicapped accessible.
The pictures on this board provide more information than any website I could find.
The walkway leads towards the waterfall and looks rather nice.  It looks like something grand is coming, but sadly it isn't quite so.
It looks like there used to be a trail further down, but sadly it is blocked off now.
From the overhang you can get only a partial view of the waterfall.
You can also get a glimpse of another waterfall, or another portion of the same waterfall.
I did grab a Live Photo with my iPhone and turned it into a long exposure shot.

The waterfall was a nice one, but the view wasn't that good and I wouldn't really recommend the trip unless you're literally driving by already.  A few more pictures are in this album.
